13. But good perseveres, its so clear to me

14. So please come and sing with me

Why I chose this song and these lyrics:

I found this song online and really thought it fit the essence of Eros. The melody is very bright, but its also energetic, like theres a task that needs to be done or a journey that needs to be taken. Theres also a lot of unique sounds that kind of go along the main melody, I think that serves to show the variety in Eros’s plans as well as the world he made. For the lyrics I really tried to focus on a sense of togetherness and a sort of excitement that comes along when someone makes something new. Its very hopeful. I also tried to hint that he’s very knowledgeable, and that he has a plan for the world and knows whats going to happen.

Melkor:

Instrumental: RYLLZ - Purgatory - YouTube

  1. Come Sing with me

  2. Come sing with me

  3. Give me the power I deserve to see

  4. Your other songs are flimsy, weak as can be

  5. Do you think that with this burdonsome melody you’ll ever be free?

  6. Such rules are stifling!

  7. Let me do as I please

  8. Balrogs and Orcs, creatures that bleed

  9. All I shall craft and make, just for me

  10. Their servitude, their labor, that is the key

  11. We won’t listen, not even if our enemies plead

  12. As your empire crumbles I’ll watch on with glee

Why I chose this song and these lyrics:

I chose these lyrics to more so mirror the lyrics I wrote for Eros. I used the first two lines from the first song to show that at the beginning Melkos hadn’t started off with his own song just yet, he’s still going along with Eros’s melody. Also it mirrors the fact that he wants to be like Eros. He wants all of the power and he wants to be the one to lead. I also tried to include a lot of arrogance and poor sportsmanship in the lyrics, he doesn’t respect the other song, he only wants to make his own. The line of the orcs and balrogs also hints to the fact that he has his own plans in mind, and he’s happy to enact them. I really liked the song that I found because its very chaotic in nature. It isn’t bright and energetic like the other song, it almost makes you feel afraid in its tone. Theres so much going on, and then it gets louder, like its demanding attention. That reminded me a lot of Eros.
